The Sandals:
Handmade natural color one stripe leather sandals, covered with burlap cloth. We added an enamel sailing boat and small other details. All held in blue to create the feeling of being on board a boat in the ocean.
The Name:
Thalassa was named after sea goddess Thalassa, a daughter of Aether and Hemera from Greek mythology. “Thalassa” is also the Greek word for “sea”.
General Information:
The raw sandals are handcraft by experienced artisans in Greece, using traditional techniques. They use only genuine top quality Vachetta leather, produced in Crete, Greece. The sandals are made from the strongest and most durable parts of the leather, the full grain leather. The imperfections that can occur on the leather and its thickness are witness to the natural quality of the leather.
In our workshop in Austria we hand-craft the decoration of these raw genuine leather sandals. With an eye for the little details we create unique MakeMySandals sandals. Each one is a one of a kind creation.
They are unique, exceptional and durable. The more you wear them, the more comfortable and beautiful they will become.
They fit true to size and come in full sizes only. If you wear a half size, we recommend sizing up.
If you fall in love with a pair, but they are the wrong size, we will be delighted to create a similar one for you.
